Urban 360 prepared a report on behalf of Southwark Council. It presents the findings of a study into the long-term effectiveness of air purification units in UK school and care home settings.
Here we provided an integrated and scientifically robust programme of work to evaluate the benefit of using portable purification units to improve indoor air quality in schools and care homes.
We were able to show the positive improvements in air quality because of this intervention. The findings provide a more robust evidence base to inform decisions about investments in air purification technologies, to reduce indoor air pollutants as well as the spread of airborne illnesses.
